Morris Joint Family Reunion
Founded 1994
Saturday
August 13, 2011
Asheville, NC, Recreation Park –
Western North Carolina Nature Center
on the Swannanoa River Road.
The gathering will take place at Shed #2
(at the bottom of the hill near the swimming pool)
Time: 10 AM - 3 PM

The
reunion honors the descendants of Marmaduke Lamb and his wife
Orpha Rollins, who relocated from Randolph County, NC, to Greene
County, TN in the early 1800's. From there, many of their
descendants migrated into Western North Carolina in the years
immediately following the American Civil War. The reunion also
honors the descendants of Elias and Sarah Morris of Montgomery
County, NC, and their sons who served the Confederacy (Zebedee,
William, Larkin). Zebedee and William relocated their families
to Buncombe and Madison County, NC, just prior to the Civil War.
This is not the Elias Morris who migrated to Kentucky. This

Lance / Lantz / Lentz / Lence 4L
Reunion
CALLING ALL LANCE / LENTZ FAMILIES
The Annual 4L Reunion is now officially announced
Please come and join us!
Holiday Inn

2011
Reunion information,
including a copy of the form that
was mailed,
is available on the 4L web site at
http://TheLances.org/4L
|
Our
organization is called The Lance-Lantz-Lentz-Lence People, which
we usually abbreviate as "4L." In the past most members were
descendants of the Carolina Lentz family, but since then we have
opened it up to anyone with the name "Lance" (or other similar
spellings). Our goal is to bring everyone together at an annual
reunion so we can get to know each other better, learn something
new about the families, and to have some just plain fun!
We would LOVE to see all the reunion "old-timers" as well as
some new faces. It doesn't matter if you don't know anyone or
not... you'll meet more cousins than you can "shake a stick at!" |

Asheville, NC, Recreation Park – Western North

The reunion honors the
descendants of Marmaduke Lamb and his wife Orpha Rollins, who relocated
from Randolph County, NC, to Greene County, TN in the early 1800's. From
there, many of their descendants migrated into Western North Carolina in
the years immediately following the American Civil War. The reunion
also honors the descendants of Elias and Sarah Morris of Montgomery
County, NC, and their sons who served the Confederacy (Zebedee, William,
Larkin). Zebedee and William relocated their families to Buncombe
and Madison County, NC, just prior to the Civil War. This is not the Elias
Morris who migrated to Kentucky. This Elias Morris died 30 August 1853 in
Montgomery County, Pee Dee District.

Lance / Lantz / Lentz /
Lence 4L Reunion
CALLING ALL LANCE / LENTZ FAMILIES
The Annual 4L Reunion
is now officially announced
Please come and join us!
We are hosting this year's
reunion in
GATLINBURG, TENNESSEE
during the weekend of June 11- 13, 2010
Reunion information,
including a copy of the form that was mailed,
is available on the 4L web site at
http://TheLances.org/4L
|
Our organization
is called The Lance-Lantz-Lentz-Lence People, which we usually
abbreviate as "4L." In the past most members were descendants of the
Carolina Lentz family, but since then we have opened it up to anyone
with the name "Lance" (or other similar spellings). Our goal is to
bring everyone together at an annual reunion so we can get to know
each other better, learn something new about the families, and to
have some just plain fun!
We would LOVE to see all the
reunion "old-timers" as well as some new faces. It doesn't matter if
you don't know anyone or not... you'll meet more cousins than you
can "shake a stick
at!" |
