64th Regiment of the Confederate Army
Company L
|
Company L was organized in Washington County, TN. It was mustered into service on September 1st, 1862. First assigned to Col. Lawrence Allen’s N. C. Legion. In October 1862, this Legion (consisting of thirteen companies) was formally organized as the 64th Regiment (Infantry). This unit remained a part of that regiment until Novmember 14, 1862, when it was transferred to the 1st Regiment Tennessee Cavalry (Carter’s) and designated Company G of that unit. |
