64th Regiment of the Confederate Army

Company C

Company C was raised in Madison County and was mustered into service on July 15th, 1862. First assigned to Col. Lawrence Allen’s N. C. Legion. In October 1862, this Legion (consisting of thirteen companies) was formally organized as the 64th Regiment (Infantry).
